Short answer: Do not pay for model count. Start on a free tier, use one good tool on real work for 30 days, note where it fails, and only then pay for that tool or for the one gap you found. A ₹399 to ₹999 plan is plenty for most professionals. A ₹2,000 plan makes sense only if you hit limits every day. A bundle of 100 models helps only if you already know how to use one well.
What happened
On 4 November 2026, AI Fiesta, an Indian-built app that bundles many AI models under one subscription, posted a one-year update video. According to the video (summary here), the company says:
- It has made ₹47 crore in revenue since launch, and stresses this is revenue, not profit, because model costs, servers and salaries take much of it.
- It has more than 1 lakh paying customers.
- It grew from 6 models at launch to more than 100.
- The team grew from 9 to 27 people, with no outside investment.
When it launched in August 2025, the launch press release priced it at ₹999 a month or ₹834 a month billed yearly, GST included. I could not confirm the current price on an official page, so check before you buy.
These are the company's own numbers. They are not audited, and I am not here to judge the business. I am more interested in what this says about how we buy AI.
How people are reacting
The update spread fast on X. Some posts celebrated a self-funded Indian AI product. Others called bundles a middleman model that resells other companies' AI. Several people replied that they did not know anyone who had subscribed. The "scam or not" argument is not new either. In January, SigmaStory reported on the backlash around the launch, including payment issues when traffic surged.
Almost all of this debate is about the company. Very little of it is about the question I actually get asked: which AI should I pay for?
My take: skill before models
The real question for Indian professionals is not Fiesta versus ChatGPT. It is whether having 100 models helps at all when most people have not learned to use one well.
In my sessions, the people who save the most time are rarely the ones with the most tools. They are the ones who learned to write a clear brief, give the AI their context, check the output, and turn a task they do every week into a repeatable workflow. That skill works in any tool. Without it, 100 models just means 100 average answers.
So my advice is simple. Pick one good tool, build the skill, and only pay for more once you hit its limits.
I wrote earlier about which AI tool to pay for by the job you need done and about what to keep when your free AI year ends. This piece adds the bundle question.
Bundle, direct plan or free tier: a quick comparison
Prices below are what has been listed for India in 2026. Always confirm in your own account or app store, since offers change.
| Option | Price in India | Good for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free tiers (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) | ₹0 | Learning the basics, light weekly use | Lower limits, fewer features |
| ChatGPT Go | ₹399/month | Daily ChatGPT users who hit free limits | Fewer features than Plus |
| Google AI Plus | ₹399/month | People already living in Gmail and Google Docs | Check which Gemini features are included |
| AI Fiesta (bundle) | ₹999/month at launch (current price not verified) | Comparing many models side by side | Limits and features may differ from direct plans |
| ChatGPT Plus | ₹1,999/month incl. GST | Heavy daily use, longer work, more advanced features | Overkill if you use AI twice a week |
| Google AI Pro | ₹1,950/month | Gemini inside Gmail and Docs, heavier use | Overlaps with ChatGPT Plus for most people |
| Claude Pro | About ₹2,000 to ₹2,399/month depending on billing | Long writing, documents, coding | No UPI on the web yet, card or app store |
Two India tips. ChatGPT accepts UPI for Go and Plus on the web. And if you use Microsoft 365 at work, check the Copilot you already have before buying anything new.
A 30-day rule before you pay
- Choose one tool. Start on its free tier.
- Use it on real work. Emails, proposals, reports, client replies, WhatsApp drafts. Not toy prompts.
- Keep a failure list. Every time it hits a limit or gives a weak answer, write one line.
- Decide at day 30. If the list is mostly about limits, upgrade that tool. If it is about one specific gap (say, images or long documents), add the tool that fills that gap. If the list is short, stay free.
- Review every quarter. Cancel anything you did not open in the last month.
A bundle can make sense at step 4, if your failure list really says "I need different models for different jobs." It rarely makes sense at step 1.
Frequently asked questions
What did AI Fiesta announce in its one-year update?
In a video posted on 4 November 2026, the company said it has made ₹47 crore in revenue since its August 2025 launch (revenue, not profit), has more than 1 lakh paying customers, grew from 6 to more than 100 models, has 27 employees, and has taken no outside funding. These are the company's own figures and have not been independently audited.
Is a multi-model bundle better value than ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro?
It can be on paper, since one fee covers many models. In practice the value depends on whether you use more than one model well. Bundles may also differ from direct plans in limits and features, so test on your real work before you pay for a year.
What is the cheapest paid AI plan in India?
ChatGPT Go and Google AI Plus have both been listed at ₹399 a month in India. Check the price in your own account or app store before paying, since prices and offers change.
Should I pay for more than one AI subscription?
For most working professionals, no. Master one tool first. Add a second only when you can name a specific task the first one cannot do, and review every quarter.
